life long friends

Empowerment Coalition, Inc.

Updates galore...

First, thanks to everyone who has taken time to donate to helping Kristina and I get this non-profit up and running.  We're not there yet and it is going to take us time for a couple of reasons.  One being the money needed to file the required tax and government forms almost all include filing fees. Another is waiting for the necessary responses from each governmental entity to move on to another filing. So let me take this opportunity to ask for your generous contribution.  Keep in mind no donation is too small.  We will also need other items in addition to cash and as we get closer we will put up a "wish list" because sometimes you can get your hands on a specific item at either a significant discount or even possibly free.

Thanks to your kind contributions we now have our own domain and a new cleaner and user friendly website.
Just a screenshot of the top of ECIs new homepage.

We will continually update you as this is for our communities to benefit from.  Each and every one of us will benefit in some way from the existence of the Empowerment Coalition, Inc.

Path Into Perspective For Now

At an impasse with life I was lucky enough to have a couple, conversations doesn't describe properly, exchanges of ideas with a two different people in my life within a couple weeks of each other. After these discussions I had to find a new path. I was truly unhappy and did not see any way of that changing.

But another epiphany, maybe an overstatement but I don't think so. A lifelong friend and I came up with an exciting business idea. A non-profit, was it possible that I could be this excited about work? So, the first person who got me thinking and realizing how truly miserable I was - he nailed it on this one. Find what you love and try to focus your energy in a way that you can make a living with that.

Under Pressure

I had begun writing in my writing journal as "this is not a blank page." I thought that might inspire my writing process. But, instead it was something unexpected, something incomprehensible, that has gotten those creative juices flowing....

Starting a new non-profit for Women Mental Health and Canine Recue

This is a summary written by my co-founder Kristina.

Two women, life long friends, and their dogs, have decided to use their experiences, resources & resolve to give back to their community. With your help, The Empowerment Coalition will provide locals with no cost and small sliding scale donation funded classes, tools, support and activities to take their self esteem to the next level.

The classes/groups/workshops/activities will include: art, music, meditation, massage, dance, martial arts, poetry readings, professional make-up tips, photo shoots, crafts, nature outings and yoga. The resources will include contact information for local wellness & health practitioners, access to reading/audio/video materials we’ve found helpful, K9 hugs & cuddles and lists of additional neighborhood businesses that foster love, enlightenment and growth.

It is our goal to provide our beloved city of Yucaipa and it’s surrounding areas, with a non-judgmental safe haven to learn, dance, create and express themselves, side by side with the unconditional love of our trained emotional support dogs. Our K9 companions will join us from our planned animal rescue where we foster, board, love and train them with the goal of finding them permanent, furever homes. We believe that the alliance of people and pets results in empowering life-long love for both.

As a nonprofit organization we will fund this work through vigorous promotion of our organization to philanthropic organizations and individuals, endlessly applying for grants and from the sales of member-made crafts and quality vintage clothes and home décor, along with any and all means we find to be successful and enduring for this coalition. Longevity and growth is important for long-term impact and success.

We need your help to turn our dream into the reality of love and support for all who ask.

The bulk of our initial costs include a lawyer retainer, incorporation & dog boarding fees, and a retail space lease. Join the Emotional Revolution Circle of Love, help us help in a real way.
